PURPOSE:To read a coordinate point accurately by fixing the upper and lower end of an Y rail at the same time and preventing the Y rail from moving finely even when external stress is applied to the Y rail. CONSTITUTION:When a current is supplied to a rotary solenoid 80, an oscillatory piece 78 turns clockwise and friction members 64 and 62 are pressed against a brake rail 66 to fix the lower end of the Y rail 10 on the side of a table 4. When a switch is turned on, the current is supplied to the rotary solenoid to turn the oscillatory piece clockwise, and the friction members are pressed against the brake rail to fix a Y cursor to the Y rail 10. Thus, the upper and lower ends of the Y rail are fixed at the same time, so the Y rail never moves slightly even if external stress is applied to the Y rail. |
