PURPOSE:To lower a height dimension of the whole magnetic head, to reduce a degree of bending of an erasing magnetic yoke, and to stabilize a magnetic coupling of a magnetic yoke and a magnetic core by laying down and providing the recording and reproducing magnetic yoke and the erasing magnetic yoke on the surface of a slider. CONSTITUTION:A recording and reproducing magnetic core 10 and 11 for forming a magnetic gap, and an erasing magnetic core 14 and 14' provided at a prescribed interval on both sides of the magnetic recording and reproducing magnetic core 10 and 11 are buried in a slider 17 consisting of a nonmagnetic material. As for a recording and reproducing magnetic yoke 12 to which winding has been performed, both its ends are coupled magnetically to the recording and reproducing magnetic core 10 and 11, respectively, and it is laid down and installed so as to be overlapped to the surface of the opposite side of a magnetic recording medium sliding surface of the slider 17. On the other hand, as to an erasing magnetic yoke 15 to which winding has been performed, too, both its ends are coupled magnetically to the erasing magnetic cores 14, 14', respectively, and it is laid down and installed so as to be overlapped to the surface of the opposite side of the magnetic recording medium sliding surface of the slider 17. |
