In a rolling-contact bearing have two or more races, the rolling elements (12), preferably balls, are inserted into the races between the inner and outer rings (resp. 11, 9) through holes (7) in one of said rings, in a direction substantially perpendicular to the bearing axis. Where possible, e.g. in combined bearings, one or more groups of rolling elements (13) is positioned in the respective race before the definitive assembly of the bearing.
