PURPOSE:To evade the generation of smash or lack and to maintain rapidity by finding out the copying frequency patterns of respective lines and rows from the periods of color arrangement patterns on an original image and an applied scale factor. CONSTITUTION:The size (t) of a dither and the GCM (u) of the denominator (s) of a contraction ratio r/s are found out by an arithmetic unit 4-1 and u kinds of sequences of (s X t/u) values is calculated by a linear map forming device 4-2, a shift register 4-3, a shift control device 4-4, a vertical register 4-5a, and a horizontal register 4-5b. The i-th term of these sequences is calculated by XK(i) = [(i + k) X r/s] - [(i + k - 1) X r/s] ([ ] Gaussian function, k = 1 to u, i = 1 to (s X t/u)), the formed k numerical sequences are connected to form a mapping pattern. Since the coordinates on the original image to be sampled by a parameter (k) are gradually changed, the copying frequency of a specific point is not increased and an expanded/contracted image reflecting the density of the original image can be obtained. |
