PURPOSE:To make a uniform distribution of air speed of a heat exchanger by a method wherein each of first evaporators, and second evaporators having a larger width size then a width size of a condensor and a second condensor are arranged at a location near a cross-flow fan. CONSTITUTION:A condensor 13 is fixed from one end with a desired angle alpha deg.in respect to the rear surface of a main body 1 of an air conditioner, and an evaporation device 19 composed of a circular plate 17 and a motor 18 for use in splashing condensate generated at the evaporator 6 toward the condensor 13 is arranged at an upstream side and lower side of the condensor 13. The evaporator 6 and the condensor 13 are composed of a fin-tube type heat exchanger with a small fin width (s), they are two-divided in the row direction, wherein widths of upstream side first heat exchangers 6b and 13b are shorter than widths of the downstream side second heat exchangers 6a and 13a. The second heat exchangers 6a and 13b are arranged near the cross-flow fans 5 and 12. With this arrangement, an aeration resistance of the heat exchanger placed far from the cross-flow fan is reduced, and air speed distribution of the heat exchanger is made uniform, a cooling capability of the main body is improved and then a material cost of the heat exchanger is reduced. |
