<p>PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of fuel consumption and to purify an exhaust gas, by using an alloy block containing specific components such as nickel or chromium in a specific ratio as the catalyst for an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:As the catalyst for an internal combustion engine, an alloy block containing 40-80wt% nickel, 10-30wt% chromium, 5-20wt% molybdenum, 1- 10wt% niobium and 3-5wt% iron is used. This catalyst is strong and inexpensive and, by passing a sucked and an exhaust gases therethrough to be contacted therewith, the efficiency of fuel consumption is raised and the exhaust gas is purified.</p> |
