PURPOSE:To stabilize recording on an outer periphery by forming recording pits at prescribed intervals on the innermost peripheral side of a recording region and gradually widening the prescribed intervals in such a manner that the radial direction attains the ratio higher than the change ratio of a linear speed nearer on the outer peripheral side. CONSTITUTION:The pits are formed in order of a0, a1,... on the tracks of a radius gamma, and since the rotating speed, i.e. angular speed of a disk for recording is constant, the pit pitch of the pits b0, b1,... of the tracks of the radius 2gamma is two-fold the pit pitch l of a0, a1,.... The frequency of a header data transfer clock is so set as to increase in proportion to the radius of the master disk 1 and the pits are formed in order of b0, c1, b1, c2, b2,... on the tracks of the radius 2gamma. The pit pitch attains l and the specified recording density is obtd. regardless of the inner and outer peripheral sides. The stable recording in the outer peripheral part is executed in this way. |
