PURPOSE:To exactly compact rubble foundation under water by means of an usual hammer by striking a steel tube having a compacting plate on its lower end by using an air hammer. CONSTITUTION:A working ship 1 is moored by anchors 2, a crane 3 is operated, and a steel tube 12 is hung down until a compacting plate 11 reaches the top face of a rubble foundation T under water. In this case, an interval is provided between the pile cap-supporting face of a hanging leader 7 and a pile cap 10. High-pressure air is supplied to an air hammer through a flexible pipe 9 from a high-pressure air source provided to the working ship 1, and the pile cap 10 is struck by the air hammer so that the top face of the rubble foundation T under water is leveled and compacted by the plate 11 through the steel tube 12. |
