PURPOSE:To simultaneously realize a larger containing amount and a smaller size by a method wherein a passbook in an open state is positively folded to have approximately the same size as a cutform, and the passbooks are orderly stacked one upon another and accumulated in a small space. CONSTITUTION:A passbook P which has been fed on a feed path 20a in an open state is fed while being pinched between a drive roller 28 and a pinch roller 36, guided by a guide plate 37, and fed into a passbook retraction part 16 from the leading end thereof. At this time, the open passbook P comes into a chevron-shape state. An electromagnetic solenoid 26 is electrically conducted by a signal for turning ON a detection switch 39 provided on the rear end of the passbook retraction part 16, whereby a gate roller 19 and the guide plate 37 are rotated. The passbook P is easily folded along its folding line because it is pushed in its closing direction by the rotating action of the gate roller 19. The perfectly folded passbook P is accumulated in a recovery part 21 through a feed path 20b. The accumulated passbooks P are prevented from being levitated by a plate spring 32 and a beating wheel 30. |
