PURPOSE:To improve the processing efficiency of fluidity, and lessen the thermal distortion or the like, and besides lighten the weight, and enable the various size ones to be manufactured at a low cost by using a wire gauze to at least either one of a corrugated plate base material or plane plate base material. CONSTITUTION:The honeycomb structure is a type wherein a corrugated plate base material 1 being fold-formed successively with wavy recession and protrusion parts and plane plate-shaped plate base material 2 are connected mutually. The corrugated plate base material 1 is corrugation-worked by a corrugating apparatus or the like and, thus, hold-formed into a predetermined shape. And, at least either one of the corrugated base material 1 and plane plate base material 2 is made of a wire gauze. The corrugated base material 1 consists of a thin plate corrugated base material 41, and the plane plate base material 2 consists of a wire gauze plane plate base material 32. And then, it is molded as a corrugated tube-shaped honeycomb structure, or a laminated block-shaped honeycomb structure. |
