PURPOSE:To obtain a solar cell module which delays starting a sudden deterioration and which is provided with long-term reliability by a method wherein a hole is made in one part of an outer-package structure body and an organic polymer is given to the hole. CONSTITUTION:In a solar cell module where a II-VI compound semiconductor solar cell element or a (II-VI)/(I-III-VI) compound semiconductor solar cell element is sealed hermetically with an outer-package structure body, a hole is made in one part of the outer-package structure body; an oxygen-permeating material of either an organic polymer or a substance formed by filling an organic substance into a water-repellent organic porous material or a porous inorganic material is given to the hole part. In the solar cell module formed in this manner, oxygen in the air is passed through the oxygen-permeating material given to the hole part and is supplied to the solar cell element; even if the oxygen in a space is consumed by a constituent material of the solar cell or by a constituent material of the module, a drop in an oxygen concentration around the element is small; accordingly, a drop in a photoelectric characteristic, of the solar cell element, caused by the drop in the oxygen concentration is reduced. |
