<p>PURPOSE:To make a highly efficient subculture of the tissue of the title plant useful for e.g. producing aromatic components such as thujopsene by putting the tissue of a hiba arborvitae plant to culture in a medium containing each specified concentration of an auxin and cytokinin. CONSTITUTION:The tissue of a hiba arborvitae plant such as leaves and/or stems is put to culture in the dark at 25 deg.C for 3 weeks in a medium containing at least an auxin (e.g. alpha-naphthalene acetic acid) with a concentration of said auxin of 10<-4>-10<-6>mol/l and pref. a concentration of a cytokinin (e.g. kinetin) of <=10<-6>mol/l, thus making the objective highly efficient subculture in high proliferation rate of callus cells containing useful components.</p> |
