A fluorinated acrylic polymer of formual (II) is prepd. by the reaction of toluene-2,4-diisocyanate with an equimolar amt. of a polyfluorinated cpd. of formula (III) to form a fluorinated urethane- isocyanate of formula (IV); and the reaction of the obtd. cpd. with an equimolar amt. of acryl ester of formula (V). In formulas, Rf is (un) branched C2-20 perfluoroalkyl; R is H or CH3; A is C2-9 divalent linkage contg. optn. one or two uncontiguous O atoms; Q is O, S or - NR', R1 is H or C1-4 radical; W is divalent linkage bonded by C with Q, and may contain O, S and/or N.
