A PROCESS FOR THE EXTRACTION OF SUNDROPS FAT BY THE SOLVENT OF HIGH PRESSURE HIGH DENSITY C02

An extraction of sundrops seed fat is carried out by (a) putting 1g of sundrops seed in the extractor, (b) extracting by passing 100-150g of 99% CO2 through the seed for 10-30 hrs at 80-500 atm. and 15-100≦̸C, (c) separating the fat from the extract at 0-30≦̸C and 1-100 atm. and (d) getting the sundrops seed fat. Sundrops seed fat contains 9.9-10.1% gamma-linoleic acid, as a prostaglandin precursor, having an effect on the prevention and cure of adult diseases.
