PURPOSE:To save manpower in meter examination by storing utilization information in a memory, recording the information in a requested medium, inserting the requested medium into a transaction processor, and reading transaction information. CONSTITUTION:A meter 140 to be installed in a user's house measures the utilized quantity of electricity (gas, city water, etc.), stores the utilized quantity and the utilization information such as utilized time in the memory in the meter 140, and records the transaction information including the utilization information in a requested medium 11 in a format readable for the transaction processor. Further, when a suer inserts the requested medium 11 into the transaction processor, the transaction processor reads the transaction information and starts transaction according to the transaction information. Thus, the meter examination can be automated, and the user can easily execute transaction processing such as the payment of a requested amount using the requested medium 11 without interposing another person in the transaction processing. |
