PURPOSE:To eliminate L-folding of a male terminal to be connected, by furnishing a male terminal inserting slit, which opens in the surface of a contact housing in the longitudinal direction of a contact and the direction perpendicular thereto. CONSTITUTION:A contact housing 1 is provided with an internal space 5, which accommodates a contact 2, and a male terminal inserting slit 6 which faces the contacting part 2a of the contact 2 and opens in the top surface 1a of contact 2 in its longitudinal direction and also in the rear surface 1c and front surface 1b in the direction perpendicular thereto. Accordingly the contact housing 1 can be moved along a wiring base board 11, the male terminal inserting slit 6 be filled in a male terminal 9 mounted upright on this wiring base board 11, and the contacting part 2a of the contact 2 in the slit 6 be put in contact with the male terminal 9. This allows contacting with the terminal 9 from the side of it, which eliminates folding of the terminal 9 into L form. |
