<p>The CRT display unit (1) is mounted on a vertical pillar (2), via a motor-driven linkage (3) which can alter the height and angle of the screen, with respect to the roadway. The display has a sun-screening visor (4). The position of the display can be altered by a control unit (5) to take account of the position of an oncoming vehicle, which is detected by a distance sensor on the front of the screen.
