A trasparent soap compsn. consists of 2-20 wt.% acetamide monoethanol amine, 2-20 wt.% polyoxy propylene polyoxy ethylene lanoline of formula (I), 3-30 wt.% diethanolamine alkyl salcosine amide of formula (II), 10-50 wt.% soap base and 5-30 wt.% anionic surfatant. In the formulas, R1 is lanoline gp.; R2 is C10-18 (un)satd. hydrocarbon; x and y are each 2-100. The soap base comprises C8-20 fatty acid and soluble alkali metal, or C8-20 fatty acid and triethanol amine.
