PURPOSE: To extend the life of a battery to be a power supply source by providing the remote control receiver with a forward bias type photodiode circuit for generating an optical current by incident infrared rays, a resistor, an operational amplifier, a separation filter, and so on. CONSTITUTION: When infrared rays are made incident upon the photodiode circuit 2 having an anode A and a cathod K in the remote control receiver consisting of the circuit 2, the resistor 3, the operational amplifier 4, a signal processing circuit 1, etc., an optical current IPO is started to flow from the cathode K to the anode A through the circuit 2. When DC bias voltage (anode voltage) VF is dropped lower than reference voltage smaller than corner voltage VK through the resistor 3 and the amplifier 4, the current IPO are allowed to continuously flow from a ground potential point to the anode A through the circuit 2. Then all optical currents are inputted to the separation filter 7, a high frequency current IHF is supplied from an output terminal 7.2 of the filter 7 and a low frequency current ILF supplied from an output terminal 7.3 is impressed to a rechargeable power supply source 5. Consequently the battery type power supply source 5 can maintain sufficiently long life. |
