<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a new yellow substance useful as a dyeing material, etc., in an industrial scale by culturing a callus derived from a tissue fragment of Corydalis ambigua Cham. et Schlecht. var. armurensis Maxim. belonging to the family Papaveraceae in a medium containing a nutrient source and a plant hormone. CONSTITUTION:A callus derived from a tissue fragment of Corydalis ambigua Cham. et Schlecht. var. armurensis Maxim. belonging to the family Papaveraceae is cultured in a medium containing a nutrient source and a plant hormone (e.g. indoleacetic acid) and a substance formed in the medium is collected. In order to separate the substance from the medium, the medium is freeze-dried, extracted with methanol, the solvent is distilled away from the extract to give a dried substance by evaporation. The substance is separated and analyzed by silica gel thin layer chromatography.</p> |
