NEW MICROORGANISM IMPARTED WITH CONVERTING ABILITY FOR SUCROSE INTO RESOURCE

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain Escherichia coli K-12 or its derivative strain having converting ability for sucrose into resource by making a mutual gene recombination within the cells of transformed strain. CONSTITUTION:Escherichia coli K-12 or its derivative strain is transformed using recombinant plasmid carrying the chromosome DNA fragment of Escherichia coli K-12 or its derivative strain with another DNA fragment containing gene involved in converting sucrose into resource for microorganisms incorporated into the central part of said chromosome DNA fragment. Thence, a mutual gene recombination is made within the cells of the resultant transformed strain to obtain the objective Escherichia coli K-12 or its derivative strain having converting ability for sucrose into resource with the gene involved in converting sucrose into resource incorporated into the chromosome DNA.
