PURPOSE: To maximize an SN ratio and to improve the efficiency of impedance by biasing 1st and 2nd diodes through 1st and 2nd terminating means so as to conduct the 1st and 2nd diodes at a prescribed conductive angle and extracting outputs from 1st and 2nd amplitude detectors. CONSTITUTION: The 1st and 2nd amplitude detectors are completed by a terminating means 23 connected to a parallel circuit for suitably biasing the 1st and 2nd diodes 21, 31 and the means 23 conducts a current from a signal source 20 at the conductive angleθ. The conductive angleθis selected. The conductive angleθcollects the radio frequency(RF) load impedance components of the amplitude detectors to the RF impedance of the signal source 20. Consequently the amplitude detector having a maximum SN ratio and high impedance efficiency can be obtained.
