CONSTITUTION:Input calls 101-103 correspond to input rate patterns 111-113. The input pattern varies timewise and the call at that time is called a burst call, The maximum band of each burst call (i) is referred to as Maxi and the average band is referred to as Avei. The bands are multiplexed to a transmission link 130 whose capacity (line speed) is C via a buffer 120 whose capacity is B. It is required to apply the control that a load over the link capacity C is not usually applied and the input regulation control that no waiting over the capacity B of the buffer even with the application of momentary load.
