PURPOSE:To prepare the subject cut rice cake keeping the quality, taste, flavor and appearance in good state even after the preservation over a long period by placing a piece of properly cut high-salt cheese on a cut rice cake, integrally packaging the cheese and the rice cake in sealed state and preserving in the packaged state, thereby transferring the salt from the cheese to the cut rice cake. CONSTITUTION:The objective cut rice cake is prepared by topping (A) a cut rice cake essentially free from salt with (B) a piece of high-salt cheese, integrally packaging in sealed state and preserving the cake, thereby transferring the salt in the component B into the component A to equilibrate the cheese and the cut rice cake at a salt content of 0.5-1.2%. The salt content of the component B is preferably about 2.0-5.0%. |
