Compression-traction device for osteosynthesis - uses threaded rod with adjuster plates and shims for pin holders for on-line adjustment and correction

The traction device has two supports with paired pins designed so that they cross over at their ends in the bone and at their inner ends are fixed in holding bolts fitted with plates and shims which adjust on a threaded rod and can be located by nuts. The holding (2) bolt (4) has an axial hole (5) traversed by the threaded rod (6) and plates (8). The shims (9) are in disc form to pivot on the bolt around its axis and locate by nut (13). The open grooves for the pins (3) are on the free end faces of the plates and run along chords of its circumference on the side facing the shim disc hole (12). The arresting nuts (7) are both sides of the bolt ends. The pins are bent so as to cross each other within the holding bolt.
