PURPOSE:To obtain a coated surface capable of decomposing oil at a relatively low temp. by supporting a multiple oxide contg. Ce, Cu and Mn in a prescribed ratio on a fibrous porous body composed of mainly oxides such as Al2O3 as a fiber layer adhered to the base. CONSTITUTION:A fiber layer 1 is adhered to a support 3 with an adhesive layer 2 and a multiple oxide contg. Ce, Cu and Mn in 1:X:(1-X) (0<X<1) molar ratio of Ce:Cu:Mn is supported on a fibrous porous body of silica alumina fibers, etc., based on oxides such as SiO2, Al2O3 and ZrO2 as the fiber layer 1 to obtain a coated surface 4 for self-cleaning having high activity to the oxidation decomposition of oil at a relatively low temp. |
