The rail-vehicle wheel set is usable with a rack, or with a rack combined with adhesion rails, having two adhesion wheels (16) fixed to an axle (15) and a pinion (20) meshing with a stationary rack (21). The pinion is mounted on a guide bush (25) turning on the axle and coupled to a member (22) engaged by a drive on the vehicle. The bush has an outer surface (26) eccentric to its bore accommodating the axle and on which the pinion turns. It is adjustably coupled to the vehicle body by a guide member giving different angular positions in relation to the axle. ADVANTAGE - Simplicity and easy operation and accommodates wear on adhesion wheels to maximum amount.
