PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically assemble modular tools and to improve workability and safety by providing a captioned device with a tool storage device capable of being positioned at an assembly position, tool stocker, traversing device, and assembly head. CONSTITUTION:When a turn table 12 is turned and a holder module (a) horizontally held is positioned at an assembly position 17, the tool holder 24 of an assembly head 6 is advanced by a movable table 23 to hold the holder module (a) in the taper hole 28. In the next step, the movable table 23 is turned upward being displaced around O to extract the holder module (a) from a tool holder 13. And when the table 12 is turned again and a blade section module C is positioned at the assembly position 17, the assembly head 6 is turned downward being displaced again and opposed to the blade section module C horizontally to engage it with the holder module (a) in the same way as in the previous description. Being turned upward being displaced, extracted, and retracted, the assembled tool is turned downward being displaced again, and held vertically to be supplied to a tool stocker. |
