PURPOSE:To efficiently cut off a cylindrical workpiece without making chips and burr, by using a die and punches to push the workpiece. CONSTITUTION:A workpiece A is fitted on a die 1 coaxially therewith. A punch plate 6 is then moved down so that a clamping jaw is thrusted by a cam 5, the workpiece is pinch-supported and punches 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d are pushed on the workpiece by cams 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d to cut off the workpiece. After such shearing, the punch plate 6 is moved up so that the punches pulled by springs are moved back to a stand-by position. |
