The diagnostic position radiography system uses an injected glucose containing 18F for emission of positrons from the patient's heart muscle. The resulting gamma radiation received by a detector (13) is screened via lead sheets. Pref. the imaging device (25) has a number of separate compartments, each tapered to an opening at its base, with the detector (13) having a number of detector elements for each opening.
