PURPOSE:To efficiently recover carbon dioxide in waste gas desulfurization treatment, by using calcium carbonate as the neutralizing agent in a neutralizing process and repeatedly mixing a conc. solution after the recovery of carbon dioxide. CONSTITUTION:In a waste gas desulfurization process consisting of an absorbing process for absorbing SOX in exhaust has by contacting SOX-containing exhaust gas with a liquid absorbing medium, a neutralizing process for neutralizing said medium after absorption and a concn. process for concentrating said medium after neutralization and returning a part of the conc. medium to the above- mentioned neutralizing process, calcium carbonate is used as the neutralizing agent in the neutralizing process and the returned conc. solution is mixed after the recovery of carbon dioxide. That is, in the neutralizing process, a process for neutralizing the medium after the absorbing-oxidizing process by calcium carbonate to generate carbon dioxide which is, in turn, recovered and a process for returning a part of the conc. solution for recovering gypsum to the neutralizing process as a seed crystal for growing gypsum crystal to mix to same are separated. |
