A material is proposed for storing heat energy using phase change, comprising essentially substantially anhydrous formic acid, at least one dehydrating agent for formic acid making it possible to maintain the water content of the phase-change body at a sufficiently low value to have no appreciable influence on its melting point, and at least one nucleating agent. This storage material applies especially to the field of air conditioning.
