The invention relates to a central electrical system for motor vehicles for the central connection of electrical components to a conductor packet which is layered in a board-like manner and has flat conductor boards which are arranged one on top of the other in different planes and separated from one another by insulating boards, having an electrical distributor board, arranged between two adjacent insulating boards and having rows of pins for making contact with the flat conductor boards bordering on the insulating boards, having an electrical conductor which is assigned to each pin of each row of pins and has a free connection point, and having a multiplicity of further, separate electrical conductors with at least two connection points on the distributor board, the connection points of the electrical conductors being capable of being connected as desired via wire straps which may be of appropriately different design in terms of height. The subject matter of the invention is characterised in that the electrical conductors are constructed as contact bushings (42) which are inserted into corresponding openings (41) in the distributor board (10), the through hole (43) of which contact bushings (42) receiving in each case the free ends of a plurality of associated wire straps (29) or the pin (22) of a row of pins (40) and the free end of one wire strap (29) or the free ends of a plurality of associated such straps (29). <IMAGE>
