The invention relates to an apparatus for rolling tubes made of metallic materials by the cold pilger method, with a rolling stand that can be moved backwards and forwards in the rolling direction and has taper-calibrated rolls which roll in alternate directions of rotation over the rolling stock and in which there is a likewise tapered or cylindrical mandrel. In order to develop an apparatus which avoids the disadvantages existing hitherto and thus leads to higher rolling output, better tolerances and, in the final analysis, greater economy in the cold pilger method, particularly in the case of copper materials, the proposal is that at least three ring rolls (3a, 3b, 3c) offset at equal angles to one another be mounted in a common, self-contained rigid chock (15) which accommodates the rolls. <IMAGE>
