The invention relates to a vehicle wheel with a pneumatic tyre and with a rigid rim which has essentially radially inwardly extending rim flanges, the wheel having a pneumatic vehicle tyre which is attached by its beads on the radially inner side of the rim next to the rim flanges, also having at least one single-component, hollow covering ring made of rubber or plastic which covers the space located axially inside of the tyre bead. In order to make the covering ring easier to mount, it is proposed that the covering ring be of hose-shaped design with a hollow chamber and have at least one circumferential sealing lip which covers the radially and axially inner bead edge.
