<p>PURPOSE: To compensate the zero point drift without any help of an operator by adjusting the zero point drift of a tool measuring instrument connected to a mechanical tool sensor through a positionally adjusted mechanical workpiece sensor. CONSTITUTION: Because the zero point position P1 of a workpiece 1 is moved by the interference variable Z such as the thermally induced displacement, the movement is detected by a mechanical workpiece sensor T1 on a tool holder as an actual zero point position, and the actual value condition (y) is fed back by a calibration software to a machine control device 5 as a corrected actual value y* by the interference variable Z. The preset value W0 to be outputted from the control device 5 becomes a new value W1 compensated for the drift of the zero point position P1 of the workpiece 1, and the zero point of a tool sensor T2 is adjusted by the calibration software based thereon, and a new preset value WW2 is determined to the position of the mechanical tool sensor T2 . The error due to the thermally induced displacement can be eliminated without any help of an operator.</p> |
