PURPOSE: To make a safety device nonregulatively operable to the extent of a body life span irrespective of brake lining consumption by letting it have one fixed pivoted point for link mechanism's sake, and making operations in this safety device so as not to receive any effect of sliding friction among all links. CONSTITUTION: One pivot member 38, which is able to rotate a control lever 60 and a brake lever 40 unrelatively, is used whereby such a safety device as being high in reliability is securable. In the case where a deadman control lever 18 is not operated by using a contact circular part 90 and a vertical part 92, independent of abrasion of the control lever 60 and the brake lever 40 or other link members, the stop of an engine 12 is securable. Moreover, the safety device positively makes the driving of a lawn mower 10 performable in the case where this deadman control lever 18 is operated. In addition, because of the number of links to be used is very limited, operational reliability in this safety device is well improved, and that its manufacturing becomes very economized. |
