PURPOSE:To obtain the subject dense Tl-based superconductive oxide having a uniform composition and a high critical current density by forming the raw powdery materials consisting of respective compounds such as Tl, Ca, Ba and Cu, calcining the resultant formed material in an atmosphere of oxygen and carrying out furnace cooling. CONSTITUTION:Respective compounds such as Tl2O3, BaCO3, CuO and CaCO3 are blended in an atomic ratio of Tl:Ca:Ba:Cu=(1.6-2) :2:2:3, formed, subsequently calcined in an atmosphere of oxygen at 800-880 deg.C and >=2 deg.C/sec. heating ratio for 1-20 min. and then subjected to furnace cooling over a period of >=1hr., thus obtaining the objective Tl-based superconductive oxide having single composition of TlxCa2Ba2Cu2Oy(x=1.6-1.8). |
