A reusable pressure transducer (10) for use with a detachable dome (11). The pressure transducer includes a body (25) having a recess (26) with an opening (28) covered by a flexible diaphragm (30). The body (25) has a hole (41) opposite the flexible diaphragm and a sensor (42) placed over the hole. A dielectric gel (50) fills the recess to transmit to the sensor variations in pressure imparted to the diaphragm.
