The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for installing a heating pipe (2) and connecting it to a radiator (1). The heating pipe (2) comprises a casing pipe (5) and a plastic pipe (6) fitted within the casing pipe. To enable rapid installation a connection box (8) is provided in the end of the casing pipe (5), which connection box is displaced relative to the plastic pipe (6) at the connection step so that the end of the plastic pipe (6) can be passed outside the connection box (8). A sharply bent branch pipe (11) is attached to the end of the plastic pipe, whereafter the connection box (8) is displaced back toward the plastic pipe (6) so that the end of the plastic pipe will be positioned within the connection box (8) and the branch pipe (11) projects substantially upward from the box. The branch pipe (11) and the end of the plastic pipe (6) are locked within the connection box (8) by means of a locking block (13) in such a manner that the end of the pipe is vertically displaceable. |
