<p>Intrapleural anesthesia is carried out by means of a device comprising a valve (10) with an inlet (11), two outlets (12, 13) and a valve member (14). A cannula (18) is detachably connected with the first outlet (12) and has a longitudinal bore (25) starting from that end of the cannula which is connected with the outlet (12), and ending in the lateral wall of the cannula, near its opposite, free end (23) which is round. An ascending tube (16) is connected with the second outlet (13) of the valve (10), said outlet being selectively connectible with the inlet (11) and the first outlet (12) by means of the valve member (14). The outlet (11) of the valve (10) is situated opposite the first outlet (12) with which it is connectible by means of a rectilinear channel in the valve member (14), such that a catheter (27) can be manually conducted through the valve member (14) and the bore of the cannula (18), and out through the opening (22).</p> |
