<p>A method for electric arc welding of metal parts provides for placing a consumable electrode (1) between the surfaces (2) to be welded of at least two metal parts (3, 4, 7) with a gap (23) between the lateral surfaces (5) of the consumable electrode (1) and the surfaces (2) to be welded of the metal parts (3, 4, 7) and with a gap (24) between the lower end-face surface (25) of the consumable electrode (1) and the lower surface (26) of at least one of the metal parts (3, 4, 7). For that purpose a consumable electrode (1) with such lateral surfaces is chosen, whose cross-section and configuration are identical to those of at least one of the surfaces (2) to be welded of the metal parts (3, 4, 7). The electric arc is ignited in the gap (24) between the lower end-face surface (25) of the consumable electrode (1) and the lower surface (26) of at least one of the metal parts (3, 4, 7). Between the surfaces (2) to be welded of the metal parts (3, 4, 7) a metal bridge is created and the weld seam produced. The consumable electrode for implementation of the method for electric arc welding of metal parts consists of metal elements (11) parallel to each other, separated by gaps (12) between their lateral surfaces (13) and each connected to an electric power source.</p> |
