A quick-action connecting device (110) for releasably connecting wall or frame elements has a locking body made from a U-shaped leaf spring which has terminal noses (113). The latter can be pushed into, and interlock with, openings (123) provided with undercuts (124) in an element to be held (120) and are fixed in their locked position when the resilient branches (110.2, 110.3) of the U-shaped leaf spring are forced apart by a rotary body (112). The quick-action connecting device can be anchored in one of two elements (121, 120) to be mutually connected by means of protuberances on its rotary body or by means of a bearing journal (111).
