Oil polluted topsoil is converted to humus by treatment with microorganisms and earthworms. 1000 cu.m soiled soil is mixed with 40-80 tons of stable manure. Where the deg of oil pollution is reduced by at least 80%, the mixt. is precomposted and converted to humus by "working" earthworms. Precomposting is carried out in 40-60 cu.m stacks. A stack comprises soil treated by microorganisms and covered by a 3-8 cu thick layer of straw then portion of soil contg 40-80 tons of stable manure per 1000 cu.m of soil. The pts of the mix is set to 6.5-7.5. During earthworm composting 30-60 cm high beds are laid out, with at least 5000 working earthworms/sqm laid at the base, and covered by a 20-40 cu thick layer of precomposted soil.
|
