A fuel feed system for an internal combustion engine with fuel injection is described, in which a fuel pump is provided in a supply line proceeding from a fuel tank, which pump co-operates with an injection valve. A fuel pressure damper is inserted in the supply line, which damper comprises a pressure peak-absorbing chamber, which has an air cushion enclosed above a fuel filling, which cushion is compressed when fuel flows back, thereby making it possible to damp peak pressures.
