The invention relates to an oven chamber closure for horizontal chamber coking ovens, consisting of a door body with a door plate constructed flexibly throughout, sealing elements assigned to the edge of the door plate, a multiplicity of locking bolts arranged distributed over the height of the door body and having corresponding locking hooks fixed to the chamber frame, and heat protection elements which project into the oven. According to the invention, each connection between locking bolt and locking hook is constructed so that it can be set and reset on its own independently and so as to be positive-locking.
