A tone signals processing system for a telephone exchange comprises a tone signal transmitter (14) for transmitting tone signals to the subscriber, a R2/DTMF transmitter (17) and a R2/DTMF receiver (18) for transmitting/receiving the DTMF signal or for intercommunicating the information signal between telephone exchanges, and a cotnroller (15) which is parallelly connected with a tone signal transmitter, a R2/DTMF transmitter, and a R2/ DTMF receiver. The R2 or DTMF signal transmitter is mutually changed by the modification of software.
