PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a code modulator by generating two kinds of orthogonal series depending on the amplitude and the phase of an input signal to a replacement means. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with an M series generator 24 generating an M series whose components is 0, 1 and whose period is N, and a component replacement device 25 connecting to the output of the M series generator 24 and replacing the inputted M series component depending on the values 0, 1. The replacing means 25 receives the M series whose components are 0, 1 generated from the M series generator 24, replaces it into A0e<jphi0> (A0 is a positive number) when the component of the M series is 0 and replaces it into A1e<jphi1> (A1 is a positive real number) when the component is 1 and generates an orthogonal series in such a way that a trigonometric function using phi1-phi0 as the phase is a ratio of two functions whose amplitude ratio is A1/A0 and using a linear equation of a period N of the M series as coefficients. In the case of applying code modulation for, e.g. a radar system by using the orthogonal series generator, the switching of phase is enough to be 2 kinds and one phase shiftier and one amplifier are enough for the application. |
