PURPOSE:To execute the high-speed preparation of coordinates data by dividing a pattern to execute paint-out into several closed curves further, executing the raster of the outer frame of each closed curve, thereafter, using a memory unit and executing the paint-out. CONSTITUTION:In a first stage, one point on one closed curve to be divided, namely, coordinates x0,y0 at a start point and string dx0,dy0--dxm-1,dym-1 (provided (m) is number of points on closed curve) of change quantities dx,dy in x,y coordinates to express the outer frame made into the raster are prepared by using exclusive-use hardware units 1-1--1-1n. In a second stage, the coordinates at the start point on one closed curve prepared in the first stage are set as an initial value to the x,y address register of a memory unit 2, and next, the x,y address register is updated according to the change quantities dx,dy. Further, data necessary for the paint-out are written at the corresponding bit position of a bit map memory provided to the memory unit 2, and the paint- out in a line unit is executed based on the data. |
