PURPOSE:To increase the purity of graphite by crushing kish graphite with instantaneous external from one direction, selecting the crushed product with magnet to exclude iron compound. CONSTITUTION:An external force is instantaneously applied to kish graphite formed in iron manufacture from one direction to crush the graphite (distinguished from the conventional crushing) at such a grade as the graphite and the contaminants, mainly iron oxides, are embedded each other. Then, the crushed product is placed in water to form aqueous slurry. Then, the slurry is selected with magnetism to remove iron oxides whereby the purity of the graphite is increased. |
